Mr Ian Hunter, South Australian water Minister: Tells Ministers and Staff to F**k Off.
The Honourable Ian Hunter, the South Australian Water Minister, unleashed a rage-fueled tirade at an Adelaide restaurant last November 17th.
The dinner was arranged for Federal and State Ministers and staff to discuss the Murray Darling Basin Authority Basin Plan. Approximately 150 people were in attendance.
When the ministers disagreed on the plan, Mr Ian Hunter unleashed his tirade, calling the Victorian Water Minister Lisa Neville a ‘c**t’, and telling a table of ministers including the Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce and the Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Anne Ruston to ‘f**k off’.
Mr Hunter stormed out of the meeting and was later seen getting an ice cream with his team.
Mr Hunter was responding to a letter from Barnaby Joyce stating that the Federal government will not provide South Australia with an extra 450 gigalitres mentioned in the MDBA Basin Plan.
Mr Hunter later said that Barnaby Joyce should be sacked.
He added “South Australia will be standing up for the river even if Barnaby Joyce won’t be.”
